June 6 in SEATTLE!

I’m delighted to announce my first Seattle show in over a year - Friday, June 6 at beloved former neighborhood haunt Conor Byrne Pub in Ballard. I’ll be joining my pals Braly Sangster as they celebrate the release of their gorgeous new album, Candy Wrappers, and as if that weren’t enough, our dear friend Brian Saunders (who has a beautiful new LP of his own titled The Dying, The Dead) will open the show. Keith Lowe, Daniel Walker, and maestro John Convertino will be there to buoy me, and there may even be a new song or two. All signs point to a tremendous night of music and gratuitous display of public affection that you’d be a fool to miss. Tickets go on sale April 14 at 10am Pacific!

LIVE AT WEIRD STUFF ANTIQUES

Today I’m thrilled to share a full-band live performance video shot during my recent Midwest tour. While in Kansas City for a super-fun show at miniBar, we ducked into the aptly-named Weird Stuff Antiques to record three songs, assisted by DP Jason Cantu, audio engineer/mixer Paul Malinowski, and editor Steve Gardels.

The band for this tour was so special, with Johnny Sangster on baritone guitar, Daniel Walker on keys and accordion, and maestro John Convertino on drums. I knew it would be a shame if we didn’t capture it, and after a week of playing these songs to great audiences across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, I think the cameras and microphones caught us in top form. I hope you’ll enjoy this video and share it with your music-loving friends. It really is the number one way you can help, and it means the world to me.
